Huginn
Guide: Correcting a day

Correcting a day

Whatever Huginn guessed, you can put right. A tap shows a stay or a trip; holding it opens what you can do to it.

Your corrections are kept beside what your phone recorded, never written over it. A day you’ve put right stays right, and Undo my changes on any stay or trip takes it back to what Huginn saw.

Notes

Add a note is first in the menu: “Good coffee” on a café, “Six hours of traffic for 100 km” on a drive. A place can carry a note of its own too, which then shows on every stay there.

Names

Hold a stay and choose Name this stay (or Rename). Type a name, or pick one of the places Huginn offers: Home, Work, the places you’ve named before, and what Apple knows within 100 metres.

By default Every stay here takes the name, on any day, past or future. Choose Only this one for a single stay, say a friend’s flat in the building where you work.

If a suggestion is already right, Name every stay here “…” takes it in one step.

How you travelled

Hold a trip and choose How you travelled. Huginn shows what motion said, and remembers your answer: the next trip between the same two places, in either direction, that motion reads the same way, takes the mode you gave it. This is how it learns that a ride is a train and not a car.

Stops it missed

Your iPhone sometimes folds a short stop into the stay before it, or doesn’t report it at all. Hold the trip and choose Add a stop. Huginn offers the spots where your positions stayed put for a while, or you can pick Somewhere else and give it a name and a time.

Things that didn’t happen

This was a check-in

On a stay, This was a check-in turns it into a check-in at the time you arrived.
